The flag and flag pole that are in front of Kris Way Truck Leasing in south Protland were not always there. No it took a little girl to get it there. Eighteen years ago this little girl was in her first year of school (home school). One day her teach (mom) was teach her about the Amarican flag. They had to go to her daddy's work. So on the way there they made a game of looking for the Amarican flag the whole way there. The little girl noticed that at her daddy's work place there was no flag. All the other buisnesses around them had a flag and some even had the state flag. But there was no flag. When the little girls daddy came out to the car to see them the little girl asked " daddy why isn't there a flag here" her daddy's said "I don't know why there isn't a flag here"
His boss came out and the man said my daughter has a question " why don't we have a flag here" the man said " I don't know why we don't have a flag here. I will have to ask the big boss"
Not log after the the company made the investment and put in a flag pole. That flag pole is still there today.
That little girl was me! I think back on that a lot now that I am an adalt. The impact that it made on me for the rest of my life. What kind of impact did that make on others. Still today am very patriotic and I love history. Our country is not what it was eighteen years ago. But I still believe that we need to remain proud of this country. Even if there isn't much to be proud of. We are the land of the brave and the home of the free! We need to remember that!
